Rising indie actress Kenia Hallow captivates festival audiences with award-winning performances and an upcoming queer short film, Troye.

Kenia began her acting journey in musical theatre, having performed in numerous productions by the age of sixteen and being nominated for a Naledi Award for her performance in the theatrical production of The Three Little Pigs. Continuing her momentum, Hallow stars in the queer short Troye (2025), set to premiere on the festival circuit in late 2026-2027. She plays Sophie, a young woman confronted with the challenge of leaving her best friend, and love of her life, behind to pursue a traditional heteronormative relationship. Hallow’s performance is raw, intimate, and deeply moving, capturing the conflict and vulnerability inherent in Sophie’s journey with authenticity and precision.
